First time in Vernonia
So a wonderful friend of mine came and visited me in Portland a while back and we took a trip out to an area north west of here called Vernonia that she used to lived in. It was a interesting small town and there isn't a whole lot to see but here are a few photos I liked. I also animated on of them and I think I quite like it.

The second photo is very striking to me. The site you photographed used to be a very large mill in Vernonia. Logging has been the industry in that town for a long long time, to the detriment of the surrounding nature and even the town itself. It is very ironic to see the view you captured of the tree reclaiming that space. Nice!
